What we collect

We collect anonymous usage analytics: page views, referring site, approximate country, browser and device type. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any content you enter into the tool.

What happens to your input

The tool runs in your browser. The text and files you provide are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

The Chrome extension

The Morse Code Translator browser extension is covered by this policy. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no remote code in the extension: every conversion runs on your own device, and it keeps working with the network switched off.

• Text you type in the popup, and text you right-click on a page, are converted in your browser and never sent anywhere.
• The extension reads a page only in the moment after you choose one of its right-click items, using Chrome's activeTab permission. It has no standing access to any site.
• Your chosen direction and playback speed are saved with Chrome's storage so the popup opens the way you left it. That is a preference, not personal data.
• Opening a selection on this site puts the text in the URL fragment, which browsers never send to a server.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies to distinguish repeat visits. You can block these with any browser setting or extension without losing any functionality of the tool.

• You can opt out site-wide using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Blocking cookies does not restrict your use of this site.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled on this site, ad partners may set their own cookies to measure and personalise ads. Their use of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any analytics data associated with you by writing to contact@morsecodeconvert.com. Because we do not hold accounts, we may ask for information that lets us identify the relevant records.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes. Material changes will also be noted in the changelog.
